Keeping up with the Electoral Law Changes

As the Somaliland Presidential election campaign gets underway, you can learn about the considerable changes to the Presidential Election Law 2001 made in 2009 and 2010 in both Somali and English at this link:

You can find in there:

· a consolidated copy of the 2001 Election Law with all the changes in one text in both Somali and English;

· the Code of Conduct signed by the political parties and the National Electoral Commission in April 2010 and setting out the role of the Election Monitoring Committee; and

· the Media Code of Conduct signed in May 2010.
