The commemoration of the 22nd anniversary of the independence of Somaliland



The Coordinating Committee for the commemoration of the 22nd anniversary of the re-assertion of the independence of Somaliland have organised a large event in celebration of this valuable occ asion. The commemoration event will take place at Barnet football club stadium in north London. A high profile delegation led by the vice President of the Republic Somaliland HE Abdirahman Abdila ahi Ismail ( Saylici) will take part in the occasion.

We are inviting the Somaliland diaspora in the UK and Europe to take part in this historic event to showcase their nationalism and unity; this will be a day time and evening event for both adults an d children.

Venue: Barnet Football Club, Underhill Stadium,

Barnet Lane, Barnet, EN5 2DN

Date Saturday 18 May 2013

Time 1pm – 9pm

Nearest public transport Barnet Tube Station (Northern line) 5 minutes walk from the station.

Entry fee £10 adults - £1 children

Any income generated from the event will be donated to Somaliland’s orphans

The celebration program includes a live final match between two Somaliland football teams who wi ll play at the stadium and a cup presented to the winner, children entertainment, speeches by the Vice President, senior ministers among his delegation and other honourable guests including frien ds of Somaliland. There will also be performances of Patriotic songs, poems and Somaliland traditio nal dance.
