In support of the press Release by the consortium (Daladda) of (JAMHURIA, NDB, HORYAAL, GURMAAD, UDHIS Parties)

RE: Political Parties Registration's fiasco:

SOMALILAND WATCH IS CALLING THE GOVERNMENT TO HEED WHAT IS RIGHT AND RESPECT THE RIGHTS OF THE ABOVE PARTIES. In doing that the government is helping her self and at the same time helping the unity of the nation

The above political parties fulfilled the (with out using same heads to move around!) provisional registration as new political parties but allegedly and as widely believed four Ministers in a dark room in a hotel in Hargeisa illegally denied the full registration that could enables them to contest the local government elections. Every body must know that it is the ballot and not “touching heads” and not political hack that count in a democratic process.

This forum supports the full rights of the above parties and all parties with out prejudice Let them exercise their rights as political parties.

1- The ‘Madaxtaabashu of the same Madaxyu’- criteria of classifying the political parties is preposterous and unheard of in classifying the parties into winners and losers

2- Government interference renders the whole procedure invalid

3- Selective attack of particular communities and personalities is divisive and excessively unwarranted.

a- The SOMALILAND WATCH calls the government to learn from her mistakes and let every party which fulfilled the registration process to participate the Somaliland Municipal elections with out prejudice. That will be a win, win situation.
b- The country is already divided therefore let us close-ranks, come together and unite the people, not divide them even more
