Puntland’s
Dirty Money to Sabotage Somaliland
Presidential Election

Minister of Interior Affairs of
illegitimate administration in Garoowe “Puntland” Colonel Abdullahi
Ahmed Jama (Ilka Jiir) is major player of piracy business in the
region and leads organized gang of pirates that kidnaps and kills
the foreign aid workers across Somalia. They hijack commercial
ships, which are passing the Gulf of Aden and Indian Ocean.
Ilka Jiir vowed to destabilize the neighboring Republic of
Somaliland particularly during upcoming Presidential Elections.
Somaliland is the only democratic and functioning administration in
former Somalia, and disputed “Puntland” over it´s eastern regions
including Sool, Sanaag and Buuhoodle. “Puntland” administration
claimed the area on tribal bases, saying that inhabitants of these
regions are kinsmen of “Puntland” tribes. These three regions are
within Somaliland´s three centuries old border.
Ilka Jiir is planning to use piracy ransom money against Somaliland,
and send terrorists to carry out bombing and killing in major
Somaliland cities during the election. His style of attack is
identical to that of Al-Qaeda terror organization, and intelligence
reports say that Al-Qaeda trained his gang members in southern
Somalia on assembling bombs and other explosives. The reports
asserted direct relation between Al-Qaeda “Puntland” leadership, to
act against Western interests in the region.
USA and EU sponsored the expenses of Somaliland Presidential
Election, in an attempt to promote democracy in Somaliland, and to
respect the desire of the people of Somaliland to adopt democracy
during this difficult time. In Somaliland, the decision belongs to
the public through the ballots of election.
Pirates operate across “Puntland” freely, which shows the support
that pirates get from the administration led President Cabdiraxman
Faroole and Ilka Jiir. These pirates hijack the ships across Somali
water and receive millions of dollars as ransom, they are treated as
´HEROS´ in “Puntland” and pirates with large bundle of ransom money
move across “Puntland” without the administration and police taking
action against them. The pirates sail off the major “Puntland” ports
and go for hunting the ships everyday morning like normal fishermen.
One of the pirates, Liban Omer told me that pirating is very much
common in “Puntland” and even police are pirates.
Somaliland Coastal Guard arrested more than 60 pirates from “Puntland”,
who infiltrated into Somaliland water. The Regional Court of
Somaliland sent them to lifer. Somaliland stepped up its patrolling
across its water, in coordination with International Anti-Piracy
Forces stationed at Red Sea.
Fu´aad Warsame Seed (Fu´aad Xanaano), a friend of Ilka Jiir, is
another leading figure in piracy and kidnapping the foreigners. He
kidnapped the German couple at Laasqoray City, and held them two
months against their will. He, also, supervised hijacking Saudi Oil
Tanker and Ukraine Ship off Gulf of Aden and Indian Ocean. Fu´aad
Xanaano received $1.8 million in the piracy business.
Fu´aad Xanaano purchased anti-aircraft missiles from lawless
southern Somalia – Mogadishu, and formed his own army at Laasqoray
City, his birthplace. He paid $150,000 to finance the campaign of
Ilka Jiir presidential campaing, after loosing the election to his
colleague Cabdiraxman Faroole, he accepted the position of Minister
of Interior Affairs of “Puntland”. This is perfect combination of
´Pirates Government´, where all members of the cabinet are Pirate
Businessmen.
It is very much clear that Colonel Ilka Jiir and Fu´aad Xanaano are
planning to destabilize the upcoming Somaliland Presidential
Elections by sending suicide bombers into Somaliland cities.
President of “Puntland” Cabdiraxman Faroole installed money making
machine at his office in Garoowe City. He makes large quantity of
fake Somali Shilling currency to support his piracy campaign.
Faroole takes the money to exchange markets in the local cities, and
exchanges the fake money with US Dollars. This robbery of public
money is illegal earning, because the local people are unable to
distinguish between the fake and correct currency. This is also part
of the campaign to destabilize Somaliland Presidential Election.
