The conscience of the nation Metamorphosed in to “Golaha wadatashiga
iyo toosinta Qaranka”

What is wrong with that?
What is wrong with the re-emergence of the Conscience of the nation
after it was missing in action in the national registry!?
a) For the overwhelming majority of the people, they see this as
bless from Allah.
b) For the moral and Islamic principles it is the right thing to do
and a must-do virtue
c) For the oligarchy government of Siilanyo it is unwelcome nuisance
that must be despised and destroyed.
For this, Allah and the people are in one side while Mr. Siilanyo
and his oligarchies are on the other side.
The conscience of the nation manifested itself into “Council of
Consultation and National Guidance, just as Allah said in Alshura of
the Quran Al kareem”
Allah said this: “those who respond to their lord and establish
regular prayers; who conduct their affairs by MUTUAL CONSULTATION;
who spend out of what we bestow on them for sustenance.” In other
words for the common good, gained God’s bless. Mr. President What is
wrong with this!? That was all the Mujahedeen called for, the other
day!
Little wonder this council was initiated by the very ones who
initiated SNM and thereafter liberated Somaliland. Little wonder Mr.
Siilanyo was angered by this re-emergence of the conscience of the
nation which was missing in action for a time!
(Silaanyo oo Hanjabaadah u Diray “Golaha Wada-tashiga iyo toosinta
Qaranka”
Siilaanyo ayaa ku hanjabay inay u dulqaadanayn dhaliilaha.”
Mr.President that is the wrong way to govern, it is the wrong way to
travel, but you have travelled to that direction already. The
conscience of the nation knows what is right and what is good for
the nation from what is deceptive and destructive. Democratic
leaders own their mistakes and listen to those who call them to
correct their mistakes, but you are saying that you will not accept
your deficiencies be shown to you!
The president exhibited anger when he heard that some conscionable
group of citizens has initiated and formed (council of consultation
and National guidance) “Golaha Wada-tashiga iyo toosinta Qaranka”
they are for what Allah told us. The president is against what Allah
told us in this consultation thing!
The presidents’ anger showed that he misunderstood what a democratic
government is all about! Mr. Siilanyo thinks that once he was
elected every thing belongs to him and his government. He created a
situation where there is no check and balance. That is not what was
intended in a democratic government. That is not what a democratic
government is all about.
Governance is defined here as “the conscience management of regime
structures, with a view to enhancing the public realm” (Ref: John
Healy and Mark Robinson)
Government is to be for the interest of the governed and not for the
interest of the governors. The dictators or semi-dictators,
automatically take the government as their own cash cow and their
won property. In our Somaliland which is not a (at least by
constitution) dictatorship, falls in to that categories of
‘governors owning the government it self as well as all the
proceeds! Governed is treated as subjects with no say in their
future! This is where Allah and the conscionable people of
Somaliland disagree with Siilanyo and clique.
“In democratic, legitimate governments the head of states are the
servants and the people are the owners of the government which the
government manages on their behalves and supposedly do so in the
right way.
People are in charge and governors are the servants of the people.
They are also on contract. When their performance is unsatisfactory
they ought to go and others be elected they ought to be replaced.
That is what we expect from a free and a democratic government, we
claim we are, but we are not, however we can be there! It is up to
us.
Siilanyo’s government is on the wrong side of this virtue! They act
and conduct business as though the government is their own store and
the people do not own the government and the people has nothing to
do with what the government does! They don’t recognize that the
people are the only legitimate owners of the government and that
legitimacy is not there in Siilanyo’s administration! They formed an
oligarchy government instead!
It is said that conscience is God’s presence in man. That means the
grace and mercy of God is there where conscience is present. On the
other hand, the absence of conscience in a place / people is the
absence of the grace and the mercy of God. It is a place where the
devil is evidently calls the shots! I think the conscience which
resurfaced lately is responding to the public out cry against the
misguided and mismanaged government, and not only that, there is a
complete mistrust between the people and the Siilanyo government
particularly what is going on in what is called Somalia and
Somaliland talks!
Conscience was (MIA) missing in action in Somaliland, for some time
now, but more so during Mr. Siilanyo’s tenure. It seems that finally
the conscience of the nation has resurfaced a bit. It manifested
itself through the (Golaha Wada-tashiga iyo toosinta Qaranka)
Council of Consultation and National Guidance which was lately
announced in Hargeisa, the capital of Somaliland by no one else
other then the founders of this 2nd Republic of Somaliland. What is
wrong with that Mr. President!?
Upon the announcement of the reappearance of the missing conscience
of the nation the President Mr. Siilanyo became angry and threatened
the founders of Somaliland who happened to be the founders of this
badly needed Council of goodwill! His servants echoed his anger and
they started to demagogue the conscience of the nation!
In this episode it seems that conscience does make them cowards all.
It made the clique sick while the people see a glimpse of hope in
the horizon when they saw the conscience resurfaced.
I think it is unbecoming, wrong and even ungodly on the part of the
government to try to fight against the conscience of the nation. I
think Mr. Siilanyo and his oligarchy government better threaten
those who are threatening the existence of Somaliland instead of
threatening the conscience of the nation. They better tell the truth
to their people instead.
There will be a fight between those who are calling the presence of
God and those (evil doers) who are frightened by merely mentioning
of the conscience of the nation!
The newly announced Council is the manifestation of the conscience
of the nation and the government seems frightened of this!
Allah said, “And hold fast all together by the Godly Rope which
Allah stretches out for you and be NOT divided among your selves (al
Omraan-v 103) that is what the conscience of the nation is echoing.
What is wrong with this Mr. President!?
That is what the Council of collective consultation is calling for.
Again Allah told his servants; “let there arise out of you a band of
people inviting to all that is good, enjoining what is right and
forbidding what is wrong: they are the ones to attain felicity, and
be not like those who are divided among them selves and fall into
disputations.” (Al omraan-104-105) Mr. President, what is wrong with
that!?
That is what the conscience of the nation is calling for and that is
what the council is calling for too.
I think that is what the conscience of the nation is calling. Why
are they afraid of this?
“Had iyo jeer culimadu inoo sheegto in aynu ka dheeraano waxkasta oo
Ilaahayinnaga reebay.” Mr. President that is what your government
did not do! That is what the newly formed Council is calling for.
In this situation, unfortunately, the fight is no more between
Somaliland and her enemy; instead the fight is between the
conscience and evil! The fights will be between the people and the
oligarchy government of Mr. Siilanyo! It will be between
Somalilanders if we don not correct Mr.Siilanyo and his de-railed
oligarchy administration and that is what the do not want and they
will resist all they can!
The existence of Somaliland lies on who wins and who loses in this
holy fight between the conscience of the nation and the obstinate
oligarchy entity of Mr. Siilanyo.
