Somaliland needs a “Kaveh”, and Kulmiye has
what it takes!

A Friend of mine who was an Iranian decent told me a Persian legend the other day on the occasion of the Iran’s political upheavals. The legend was of an ‘evil king with two snakes one on each shoulder of his’ and a savoir of the kingdom!’ The king was called “Zahak”, and the savior, was called “ Kaveh”!

“The evil king was kissed by a devil on his two shoulders! Two snakes grew out of the ki ng’s shoulders where the drivel had kissed him! The snakes demanded a daily diet of  hum an brains to feed each day, and that had to be supplied on daily bases!

After years of having the people’s brains used for snake food, the people couldn’t take it any more! The people gathered in a prohibited meeting. Among the people a black smith from out of town named ‘ Kaveh’ showed up. He led a revolt against the evil king. The kin g and his brain-eating snakes were defeated and the kingdom was saved thereafter!”
“It is our national story. Iranians are always waiting for another ‘Kaveh’ to save the  king dom from evil leaders” the Iranian friend concluded, commenting the recent Iranian election uprisings.

The author told the Iranian friend this:

“When a governing entity couldn’t work the way they were working, that is when the  (p eople) governed detests and don’t like the way the governing entity does its work!  Und er that situation a revolution, or reform or change ought to happen, and it must happen one way or the other! That is the situation in Somaliland. The people are tired of  supply ing the national revenue to a man and his family and associates! They want change

But it will not happen in a vacuum! There must be people waiting in the wings to cause  ch ange. There must be people who can smell this, sense this, understand this, and thus  ha ve the guts and the vision and courage to grab the opportunity with real action, thus  re ady to lead! Walk the walk and not talk the talk, through democratic process and  peacef ul means like we did in Somaliland through out her recent history.

That new daring leadership may face the old guard who are not ready to give-up even when all odds are against them! The force for change may also face a people who never saw and never tasted any thing different than corrupted, theocratic administrations and therefore afraid of change, and may not be immediately responsive!”

Those who are ready to take the torch and want to take the people in to a new direction must have all it takes. This time, I think Kulmiye has what it takes! First and foremost he or she must be an iron personality who is in a mission of salvaging Mother Somaliland. Must be courageous and got a gut-connection with the people and has a sense of purpo se. A ‘jell-o’ person must be out of this effort! Somaliland needs ‘Kaveh’ who would lead the people to the right direction. Create a corruption free and just society, a respectable and a sovereign Somaliland, in this juncture of history. I think Kumiye has what it takes to do just that”

Riyaale was / is an embarrassment, a disgrace and a shame to every thing Somaliland  st ands for! He is a historical mistake! He stole the public funds, and sold out the public land, mountains and sea, school yards and even grave yards! He betrayed the nation! He is a traitor of no bounds and must be understood as such, thus must be changed through the ballot box and never by the bullet like Somalia! Somaliland can do that. They did it before. Yes they can.

May I finish?

“In the end, and as the saying goes:
Treason doth never prosper,
What is the reason?
For if it prosper none dare call it treason”

“The end belongs to the righteous” so said Allah
In hope we live
In hope we may sing
But in action we may prevail, and prosper
And action is here warranted, and now, through patience but persistence.
Through the ballot box, in a democratic process, through peaceful means, a fair and transparent election is what is intended in this endeavor.

As for the (Riyaale government) evil doers, they better not try to derail and disrupt the process of democracy. They already started to day. They are scared of what they have done to Mother Somaliland which they happened to rule! To cover up that they want  cre ate conflicts and delays and even wars ‘God forbide’

They are afraid because of what they have stolen. However, they better know and  unde rstand that Somaliland is a country where forgiveness and not revenge nor restitution worked. They better know that Somaliland was a story of consensus and common  grou nd. The Remnants who seem scared to death to day better revisit how they came back to Somaliland and how they came to power! That happened because Somaliland forgave them in an amnesty blanket!

Now if they leave Somaliland alone and not create conflicts and wars they may reap the virtue of forgiveness, once again!

A word to the remnants, once more-“please do not try to mend trouble for Somaliland; do not sabotage the election process! That is neither your favour nor any one else’s  favour If you take the wrong side of history, the people of Somaliland will publish the names of t he perpetrators for history and for the world to know and spit on (your names) them  Som aliland people have the list of the perpetrators names, and you will be accountable of your actions. Better head this advice

We shall publish your names subject to your future
(evil) actions regarding this election

However, prayer and peace
