Gabilians need not to worry why Siilanyo passed them, they must be
glee he did
I believe it was bless for Gabiley and Gabilians that he did not
stop there, for spiritual reasons in this cause. Many of the spirits
of the martyrs who died for this country are there and they don’t
want him to meet a man who betrayed the people who martyred for the
new Somaliland and the cause they died for. They don’t want to meet
the man who put the widows of the martyrs in custody in Hargeisa,
demeaned them and insulted them. I think it was the wish of the
spirits of the martyrs there in Gabiley that the man must not stop
there and Allah accepted their wish and then he did not stop and
that is fine.
Bad leadership affects the psychology of the people
Bad leadership and affects all aspects of our live negatively
economically, politically, social justice, culture, security as well
as the psychology of our people. The integrity of all the
institutions of the country has been systematically corrupted and
compromised as well as the functioning of the said institutions.
Corruption has been created and nurtured in every level of the
government where by it became part of the culture. It integrated
with the culture thus accepted as some thing normal! The country has
been neglected, ransacked, robbed, ashamed, and disgraced by the
oligarchy running the country as their store!
It needs to undo a lot of things and do a lot of other things at the
same time.
It needs good governance with all its fundamentals established. And
not only that, it needs the lost character and psychology of the
Somaliland citizens to be restored and rebuild all over again. Look
at what they have done to the widows of the martyrs who liberated
this Republic! That is the character of Mr. Siilanyo. That is the
leader of Somaliland! For the Gabilians to complain why he passed
them is out of place in my opinion. It would have been better for my
constituency to say to Mr. Siilanyo please proceed and meet the
widows of the martyrs who gave him and us this country and this
peace instead. I think it is good for Gabiley not to receive a
betrayer and a bad leader.
Trust and honesty: Trust is a leader’s most prized possession. It is
a foundational cornerstone to leadership. It is trust that allows a
leader to ask people to follow him toward new ideas and concepts. It
is trust that allows that leader to ask people to stick with him
during hard, uncertain, uncomfortable, or changing times. It is
trust that allows him to break bad news and have it received without
a devastating impact on the entire government or establishment.
Simply put, honesty and trust must be there, and that is very often
hard to do in some administrations! This Siilanyo’s administration
is free from all these attributes mentioned above thus they happened
to be untrustworthy entity.
It is my conviction that trust is achieved - through honesty. Any
break in honesty begins to shape at the trust granted the leader by
those he leads. Thus trust is achieved through honesty! And there is
no trust in Siilanyo administration because there is no honest in
them! Even if some one is honest, the appearance of Dishonesty is
Deadly
Perception is Reality! Too often (some) leaders lose sight that
perception is very much indeed reality. The appearance of dishonesty
is just as deadly as dishonesty. Leaders must make every effort to
avoid the appearance of dishonesty. One must work to maintain his
honesty and safeguard the trust of those he leads. Unless this trust
and honesty which Siilanyo has lost is repaired there is no reason
for the Gabilians and others to worry why Mr. Siilanyo did not stop
to say hallow to the constituent that helped him become president. I
believe what Siilanyo did is good for Gabiley, because Gabiley
already responded to his ungrateful, dishonesty and untrustworthy
deeds, behavior and conduct when they saluted him with shoes two
years ago.
Peace and prayers
