Dear Friends and Fellow Citizens,

As an advisor to the Somaliland President on Economy, Commerce, and Investments, one of my r esponsibilities is to raise public awareness of  these sectors and passing public concern of  relate d issues to the President.
In that aspect I would like to have your opinions, ideas and commentsin transparent and open fo rum.
 

In this Facebook group, we will share ideas to promote national economy for the public good. Small ideas create big projects and no project is too small to be ignored. We have a long way to go, but be cognizant, every long journey starts with petite step. Let us take first step together
to build prosperous Somaliland, where rule of the law is the norm

Please be constructive and think positive. We need ideas to change culture of taking and paying back nothing. We call for views to improvecurrent business environment of sole traders and cha mpion formation of companies and cooperatives. It is imperative to increase productivity for eco nomic growth. That implies eradicating bureaucratic unnecessary knots.

We ought to overhaul our working practices, modernize systems, and shape our rules and  regul ation for upholding good governance in all aspects of economic life. We target to institute an  acc ountable and transparent policies and procedures in all our commercial dealings,contracts and in vestments both public and private That will help us attract foreign investments necessary to  ex ploit our virgin land,funding major industrial and agricultural projects, but not to the expense of our local businesses.

Debate clearly, precisely and avoid finger pointing. We are here to get ideas that can deliver. No time for empty hot air full of regret and past mistakes. Think ahead and drive forward. Take part
of decision process to-day for better future. Together we can offer our developing democracy a solid foundation of economic growth and  better quality of life for our citizens.
